Who We Are

Who We Are

Fellowship, family, and a commitment to community that has defined the Loyal Order of Moose for generations.

Our Story

A Tradition of Doing Good

“A burden heavy to one is borne lightly by many.” That belief has guided the Loyal Order of Moose since it was founded in 1888 — and our Annapolis lodge since it was chartered in 1910 with just 50 members.

More than a century later, Lodge #296 still calls Annapolis home — now on Crownsville Road, where members come together to support one another, raise funds for those in need, and create a warm, welcoming home away from home. Whether it's a karaoke night, a charity drive, or simply good conversation, the Lodge is where neighbors become family.

  • Chartered in Annapolis in 1910 — 115+ years of fellowship
  • Open to men and women through the Loyal Order of Moose & Women of the Moose
  • Proceeds support local and national Moose charities

What We Stand For

Our Mission & Values

The Moose and its members contribute $75–100 million in community service every year. Here's where it goes.

Care for Children

Supporting Mooseheart Child City & School — a 1,000-acre campus near Chicago that gives children in need a safe home and an education.

Honor Our Seniors

Caring for aging members at Moosehaven, a 70-acre retirement community near Jacksonville, Florida, so our elders are never forgotten.

Serve the Community

From Tommy Moose dolls for children in crisis to support for St. Jude and the Salvation Army, giving back is at the heart of Lodge #296.
